Minutes General Assembly of the Danish Demographic Society.
March2^nd, 2024

The General Assembly was held online on March 22^nd, 2024, starting at 3.30pm. The agenda followed the statutes of the association:

1. Election of a conductor

The board suggested that Lisbeth Harbo (LH), member of the board, took the task as conductor. The General Assembly consented.

LH noted that the invitation to the general assembly is according to the statutes to be sent to members of the society at least 14 days prior to the general assembly. The invitation was sent to all previous and new members on March 8th and thus in due time.

2. The chairman’s report

The last General Assembly was held in October 2022, when the Society was re-established. The Society has 44 paying members. In April 2023, the Society organized the kick-off event Danish Demography Day (funded by the University of Southern Denmark research fund).

3. Treasurer’s report

Cosmo Strozza (CS), treasurer, gave a statement on the books.

The report has not been signed by the auditor. CS will try to reach the last elected auditor. The last elected auditor is Lene Tølbøl. There were no comments to the report.

4. Determining the quota

The board suggested a membership fee of 300 DKR annually and 150 DKR for student membership and pensioners. The General Assembly consented.

5. Processing of any present proposal

Jesus Adrian Alvarez, member of the board, proposed to send the Society’s newsletter every quarter. Peter Fallesen, member of the board, proposed to help with its preparation.

6. Election of chairman

For all elections, the period is one year. Silvia Rizzi was elected.

7. Election of the board of directors

The current board of directors was re-elected and approved:

• Jesus Adrian Alvarez,
• Lisbeth Harbo,
• Ilya Kashnitsky,
• Peter Fallesen,
• Cosmo Strozza.

8. Election of auditors

Jana Vobecka was elected as auditor.

9. Any other business

• Danish Demography Day on May 8^th, 2024.
