Education in demography on the way to SDU

CPop at SDU have great news to share, as a new master’s programme in Population Studies has been approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science.

It is Denmark’s first education programme with a focus on demography and the work with population projections — knowledge that is crucial for society in relation to ensuring sound public and private investments.

The graduates of the programme become quantitative social scientists trained in theories and methods that enable them to study, quantify and predict demographic changes and trends.

The graduates are already in high demand on the labour market and will be able to find employment in public planning at all levels, as well as in private companies, such as consultancy and life sciences.

We look forward to welcoming the first students to the programme in September 2024 and to delivering demographers who can contribute to solving significant societal challenges.
